Public Service Announcement from Ben Franklin

In light of our recent trip to the Franklin, here are some wise words from the man himself (in an email from my dad): Wine and Water To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine.. . and those who don't. As Ben Franklin said: In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria. In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E.. coli) - bacteria found in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop. However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, whisky or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting. Remember:Water = Poop Wine = Health Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid, than to drink water and be full of [something else]. There is no need to thank me for this valuable information: I'm doing it as a public service.

Snip, Snip!

I have been saying for a while that I wanted to cut Kensley's hair...well, I finally did it. It was getting so long, that even fixed, it looked stringy. I couldn't handle that. She's now sporting shoulder-length hair. Sure, she will have longer hair, but it needs to look healthy to do that and getting it all (close to) one length is a step in the right direction!

Rockin' the Side Ponytail!

Kensley's hair was lop-sided when she woke up from her nap, so I just tested to see if it would go up on the side...
Hey and Cheese!

Love My Girls

Kensley is as enamoured with Libby as the rest of us. She says, "HI Wee-bee" as soon as we walk in the door and "BYE, Wee-bee" as soon as I set the alarm to leave. Here are a few pictures of Kensley loving on Libby and Libby tolerating it. Libby is THE BEST d-o-g, hands down! And we'll keep Kensley, too! ;)

2009 Swimsuit Edition

Kensley let me play dress-up with her today while I rearranged her dresser drawers. I am thankful to say that, although we are 6 days into Spring, Kensley won't need a stitch of clothes this year! As aggressive as her growth was last year, she has tapered off quite a bit and can still wear clothes from last summer. I wasn't so sure about the bathing suits...you be the judge!
A belly only a mother could love! She thought it was funny to see her belly button and still have clothes on - Lane and LC passed this one along!
"Pee-boo," as Kensley says it!
You may remember this from last year?
This may not make it all summer... Can you tell I like ruffles?!?!
...And Kensley does, too! She thought they were funny on her belly.
This just screams little girl, doesn't it?!?
