Santa letter

Lorean started this letter with Kensley. We helped her stretch out the words the way she heard them. She is able to read his letter because she wrote it the way she heard it. :)
If you don't read Kensley-bonics, it says: Dear Santa, Miss Claus how are you (this is a sight word at her school)? May I have (sight word, too) a trampoline please? A big one! -Kensley

Sense of Humor

Kensley was sitting beside me as I was creating a responsibility chart for her. She looked up from her iPad where she was listening to music and asked me this question. I had her repeat it for you all. She's kinda funny! :)

That's my name!

Kensley came to school with me (on my day off) and had a few lessons for me. This is her name, "mommy," an attempt at my name (better than some receptionists, I might add) and them our last name.

I'm bragging

But I can, because I'm her mama and a teacher! Kensley spelled 'jeens' as part of her homework. She said /jee/ is in Jeep and jeans ends with an 'n.'

Homework

Kensley has homework every Tuesday night in her 4 y/o PreK class. She loves homework. She got frustrated drawing pictures, but she sounded out all of her labels so nicely. I am proud, since this is what we are working on this week in my first grade class. Whatta big girl!

Boo-boos, Bellyaches, & Beaches

After 10 days of boo-boos or bellyaches, out beach lover asked to spend her Sunday evening at the beach literally watching the sunset. I'm thankful her whims remind me to be spontaneous and thankful for the here and now.
