Princess Raggamuffin

Kensley has a friend who is in total princess phase. Everytime she comes to the house to play, they dress up in princess dresses. It is fun to watch them put on their dresses and clack around in their heels. It is clear that little girls have a need to wear heels and get all dolled up (this isn't a case for Toddlers and Tiaras, however...not at all!)

Strawberry Picking

This past week we had the great pleasure of picking (and eating) strawberries with our sweet friends. Kensley absolutely loves Derek and Ms. Stephanie, strawberries, and being outside. This was a heavenly adventure for all involved.

When we came in from the field, I raised my child to the counter and asked if she needed to be weighed as it was beyond obvious that Kensley had very well eaten every berry she picked (and then some)! Thankfully, the nice lady said, "We don't weigh 'em when they go out, and we don't weigh 'em when they come back in!" Well, Hallelujah! Kensley may have easily broken the bank (and the scale)!

She's Winning...

...our hearts, that is. Kensley is growing daily and getting wiser by the minute. For example, this just occurred: Kensley: Mommy, I need a jellybean. Me: No, you don't NEED a jellybean. Kensley: I want something special. Me: Isn't Mommy special? {no argument from her, which lends earns major brownie points} Kensley: [her hands on her little hips] Well, I just want something special in my hand (said in two syllables like hay-und). ~She got 2 jellybeans.~

Happy Easter!

 We have been blessed to have a fantastic Easter Weekend! It began with the arrival of Nanna and Pop on Friday. On Saturday, we had an Easter party and egg hunt with Mike's office where Kensley was able to enjoy some time with her buddies. Easter Sunday, Kensley woke up to the gracing of the Easter Bunny before enjoying our Easter Service at church! Trust me, she is still enjoying the goodies from her Easter Baskets.
