Six Month Check Up and Update

Kensley went to the doctor on Monday and weighed in at a whopping 19.25 pounds (90th%) and was 26.5 inches long (75%)! Yes, she is a big girl.
Kensley has been slow to roll, but continues to be a perfect little sitter, talker, and socialite. Because Kensley has slight Torticollis (wry neck), the pediatrician recommended physical therapy, which we have been attending for a month. Kensley is learning to successfully hang out on her tummy, push up really high with her arms, and turn from side to side with her head instead of from her waist. That has, in turn, called for more rolling. She is happy with her new skill and inegrates the rolling with waving to the ceiling and then shouting, "YaY!" Yes, she waves. It is cute, and here it is on video!

Hi Lou Ellen

I'm happy to hear the physical therapy is working. Jonathan works on a lot of patients with torticolis, so if you decide you want another option you could look for an osteopath (DO) in your area. Just be sure they do osteopathic manipulative treatments (OMT) because not all do.
