I've Created a Monster...

...Cookie Monster, that is!
Happily eating a cookie It's getting smaller and smaller... ...and MESSIER!

Today I was munching on crackers with lunch and Kensley kept giving me this pitiful look as if to say, "Mama, why won't you share with me?" Being a [wimp] I gave her a whole Nilla Wafer after experimenting with a crumb yesterday. When the wafer got a little smaller than I was comfortable with her handling, I took it and began breaking it down so she could finish it as she had yesterday. IT WAS THE END OF THE WORRRLLLLD! Kensley was mad and completely brokenhearted. I had never seen her get upset like that about a "thing" (naps are another story). Eventually she calmed down enough to realize that she was still getting her cookie, but just in a different way. Clearly, Kensley inherited my love of food!
Can you see the pitiful tears?!?! She was soooo hurt!

A tearful cookie mess!

You can't have my cookie.

Sweet Baby

We were so blessed to have such BRILLIANT weather this week. We took full advantage of it by strolling everyday and wearing our liberating summer clothes!

I can do it myself!

I absolutely know where she gets this frame of mind. She can "read" by herself and she also calls "nanananana" on the phone.

Georgia Girl

While Kensley's fate may have made her Jersey-born...she is thankfully a Georgia Girl by the Grace of God! (And probably lots of not-so-subliminal urging from the Wheeler side of us!)

A REAL Playdate!

This week Kensley had her first REAL playdate where the babies played together with each other and with toys. Previously, the moms got together and talked while the babies did stationary things. What fun it is to grow so big!!! Joanna is our neighbor and she is 6 weeks older than Kensley. She has great tricks like rolling everywhere and parachuting. Joanna ALMOST got up and crawled while we were there!

Oh Kensley! It is so great to see you!
I like your hairbow.

Fun toys to share and play with!
